Hi, I’m Cari — the founder of The CattyShack, where love, care, and comfort come together to create a truly special place for your feline family members.
I grew up in East Maple Ridge with my three sisters, and from a very young age, animals have always been at the center of my world. At just 14 years old, I proudly bought my first horse, which sparked a lifelong passion for animals, the outdoors, and agriculture.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for a wide variety of animals — including horses, llamas, goats, chickens, and of course, cats. Each experience has deepened my understanding of animal behavior and strengthened my belief that every pet deserves patience, respect, and genuine love.
The CattyShack was created from a simple dream: to provide a safe, peaceful haven for cats while giving their humans complete peace of mind. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your cat behind, and my goal is to remove that worry by treating every guest as if they were my own.
